Dolphins & You Oahu Manoa Hike
Outside of the city of Waikiki is the beautiful Moana Forest which is known for its stunning trail leading to Moana Falls. Let us guide you through this beautiful location.
On your way to the waterfall, breathe in the nature that Hawaii is so well known for. You will be able to spot lush flora and beautiful fauna that are native to Oahu. At the trail’s end, you will be able to take in the view of one of Hawai’i’s most infamous waterfalls.
The hike through Moana Valley is a total of 1.7 miles with an elevation gain of 633 feet. This hike is considered to be moderate, and a significant portion of the trail is paved, but the trail does get rocky and slippery when it rains. If you are comfortable with these conditions, we encourage you to join Dolphins & You for a day of fun!

10:15am Time to hike!
As the hike begins, keep your eyes peeled for the beautiful flora and fauna that Hawaii is known for. There is beauty around every corner.
10:30am Take in the tropical rainforest energy!
Get ready to learn about the amazing things you spot on your hike as our knowledgeable tour guides lead you through the valley. You are sure to spot some stunning Hawaiian birds as well as plants like bamboo.
11:00am Welcome to Manoa Falls
After 45 minutes of taking in the sights of the trail, you will reach “The Valley of the Rainbows”! Just a few feet away, you will spot the stunning view of Moana Falls. Moana Falls reaches a height of 150 feet and is even more breathtaking in person.
11:15am Start the hike back
Now that you have journeyed to Moana Falls, it’s time to begin the relaxing hike back to the starting point of your journey. Catch some fun pictures and videos you may have missed on your way up!
12:00-12:30pm Time for a lunch break!
Welcome to a local Hawaiian favorite, Andy’s Sandwich Shop! Enjoy a delicious and healthy lunch where you can choose from a variety of sandwiches (Pastrami, Tuna, and Veggie).
Our meals do not accommodate allergies. We do not prepare the meals, so we cannot guarantee anything regarding allergies. For your safety, please bring your own.
1:15pm Eat and take in Tantalus Lookout
Time to step out of the rainforest like scenery and take in the view from Tantalus Lookout. This spot is famous for its panoramic view of Honolulu and Waikiki which you can take in while enjoying your lunch. Our guides will touch on what makes the ecosystem surrounding Tantalus Lookout unique.
