There are two quite different ways to see dolphins on Oahu:
- Wild dolphin tours head out along the west (Waianae) coast, where spinner dolphins often rest in the morning. Boats watch from a respectful distance, and most trips add a snorkel stop on a reef, often with turtles. Choose a catamaran for comfort or a speed boat for a smaller group.
- Sea Life Park dolphin programs are guaranteed encounters with trained dolphins in a lagoon. Dolphin Aloha is an introduction in shallow water, the Dolphin Encounter adds more interaction, and the Dolphin Exploration is the most hands-on.
