Choosing a guided hike on Oahu
Both guided hikes include transport from Waikiki, so you skip the parking problems at popular trailheads:
- Manoa Falls is a rainforest walk in the valley behind Honolulu, with giant trees and bamboo leading to a tall, thin waterfall. The trail is muddy after rain.
- Waimea Valley on the North Shore follows a paved path through botanical gardens to a waterfall pool, and the day can be combined with North Shore stops.
Wear shoes with grip, bring water and insect repellent, and expect rain showers in the valleys. For more of the island by road, see land tours, or read our guides to Manoa Falls and Waimea Falls.
