California Sea Lion Encounter – Exclusive Experience
Meet our playful California sea lions up close during this unique 20-minute dry land encounter. Guided by our world-class animal care team, you’ll interact with these lively marine mammals and gain insight into what it’s like to work alongside our animal experts.
In addition to hands-on interaction, you’ll learn about ongoing conservation efforts to protect California sea lions and the important role Sea Life Park plays in their rescue and rehabilitation.

Know Before You Go
Arrive 1 hour prior for safety briefing
Remove all jewelry before activity
Proper attire: comfortable clothing for dry land interaction
Bring towels and proper swimwear if also participating in in-water activities
Only biodegradable sunscreen allowed
Jewelry & Personal Items
Remove removable jewelry (exceptions: wedding rings, nose piercings)
Toe rings must be removed for in-water activities
Secure valuables in hotel safe or on-site lockers ($6 rental)
Prescription/protective eyewear allowed if secured
Hats must be snug; hair tied back
